The most popular girl group in the world, BLACKPINK, will have one of its members have a solo debut this March. Rosé, the group's vocalist, has already shown her potential even before the release of her single "On the Ground" and album "-R-."

The album of Rosé, entitled "-R-," is a physical album that started pre-selling on the 4th of March, and will be available for the public in a total of four archetypes. BLACKPINK's Rosé herself increased the price of the album by personally adding her flair to the concept and design of "-R-."

As per reports from YG Entertainment, the agency that BLACKPINK is under, the vocalist's first-ever solo single album preorders had gone far beyond 400,000 as of the 10th of March, less than a week of when the preorders started being available. With that, Rosé now holds the record for the highest number of preorder sales of female idols in South Korea.

The amount was tabulated from preorders from all parts of the world, including China, the United States, Europe, South Korea, and many more countries. Fans have placed the album in high demand now. But it does not stop here. It is expected that sales will even go higher, especially since the demand only rises by the day. The physical album will be released on the 16th of March.

Additionally and just recently, on the 7th and 9th of March, two teasers were released, showcasing two very different moods that Rosé's single "On the Ground" could have. The initial teaser had a more somber tone, while the second teaser for "On the Ground" had a different impact, showing a more independent Rosé.

This means that BLACKPINK Rosé's solo debut could go above and beyond expectations. Both her single "On the Ground" and the album "-R-" have already blown expectations out of the water.
