This NBA Star Says He And LeBron James Are One And The Same
LeBron James, the Laker's forward and one of the greatest basketball players alive right now, has been compared to a plethora of former and current greats. But the 36-year-old star may have finally met his match in Nikola "The Joker" Jokic.
Nikola Jokic, the Denver Nugget's star center, expressed that he and LeBron are the same athletic-wise, but he is unsure if LeBron can jump as high as him. Nikola Jokic has been known to not only be one if not the best of the league centers but also one of the league's funniest basketball players. So it was a pleasant surprise when Nikola Jokic jokingly shared his thoughts when pressed on how he and LeBron are similar.
In a stat collected during the 2019-2020 season, LeBron was recorded to finish 79 dunks compared to Jokic's 15 dunks, putting The King way ahead in that regard. Although ahead in the number of dunks, James missed two attempts charging to the rim. So The Joker is ahead of him in terms of efficiency in dunking.
Jokes aside, Nikola Jokic, the Serbian big man, is listed at 6'11 while LeBron is at 6'9, so in terms of physicality, Jokic is ahead in both height and weight. The closest comparison they have is their basketball IQ and passing abilities.
James, noted as a basketball genius, is a pass-oriented player and can read plays of the other team before and while the plays are done. Similarly, The Joker is noted to have one of the best minds in the NBA right now due to his ability to pass the ball at the right time.
Nikola Jokic and LeBron James' similarity can be seen in the upcoming matchup of the Lakers and Nuggets tomorrow at 8 pm MST. The game will be played in Staples Center, Los Angeles.
