You may have probably heard about the upcoming prequels in the worldwide popular series "Game of Thrones" in the works at HBO. Well, there is no official confirmation yet, but according to reports, one of the prequel series will be titled "Tales of Dunk and Egg," based on "Game of Thrones" author George R.R. Martin's novels. The dragons in these prequel series have also been speculated.

Deadline said the project will be set in the world of George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" and will be during the 90 years before the events in the novel. It will reportedly follow the adventures of Dunk or Duncan the Tall, and Egg or the future king, Aegon V. Targaryen.

"Tales of Dunk and Egg" will be the next spin-off series of "Game of Thrones" with the first prequel series, "House of the Dragon," said to be debuting this 2022.

The dragons in "House of the Dragon" have also been previewed in media outlets like Fansided. They include Morghul, Shrykos, Tyraxes, and so much more.

"House of the Dragon" tells about the Dance of the Dragons, a brutal civil war that tore Westeros apart over a century before the "Game of Thrones" started. This war has been the start of the end of the Targaryen dynasty, leading to the extinction of the dragons that once ruled the skies over Westeros.

At the beginning of the conflict, the dragons are everywhere, and viewers can expect to see them in the prequel. It has been said likewise that there will be new Targaryens to be introduced in the upcoming prequels. These include Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen and Prince Daemon Targaryen.

Since it is a prequel, younger versions of the beloved "Game of Thrones" characters will reportedly return, including Egg's Brother Maester Aemon, the Three-Eyed Raven, and the young Tywin Lannister who served as cupbearer in the court of King Aegon V when he was little.
