'Outlander' Stars Caitriona Balfe & Sophie Skelton Share Season 5 Script Photos & Tease Start Of Filming
Outlander actresses Caitriona Balfe and Sophie Skelton are making sure their fans would be updated on the upcoming Season 5. The two both shared photos of Season 5 script in their respective Instagram account.
In her recent post on IG, Balfe shared a picture of her while holding the script for Episode 1 of the fifth season. The actress' photo teased that the cast is about to start the filming of the fifth installment.
"Mums the word on what's inside .... but here it is Ep 1 Season 5," she wrote in the caption.
"The start of production on Season 5 is so close we can almost taste it!" the official Outlander Instagram wrote on the re-grammed post of Balfe.
Balfe earlier shared a video from the new set of Outlander Season 5. The clip also catches a glimpse of the famous set designer Jon Gary Steele. Balfe, along with on-screen husband Sam Heughan (Jamie), will serve as series producers starting on Season 5.
Skelton, on the other hand, posted a photo of Season 5 script and simply wrote, "Here. We. Go...!!" She also earlier shared a photo of a what looks to be one of the Outlander crew firing a musket on set. The actress teased on the caption that Season 5 is going to be explosive.
Outlander Season 5 will be based on Diana Gabaldon's fifth novel, The Fiery Cross. The new adventures of the Fraser family will unfold amidst the looming American Revolution.
It will also tell the story of how Roger (Richard Rankin) and Brianna's (Sophie Skelton) relationship evolve now that they have a child. Rankin earlier told Fox News that he loves how his character mature as a husband and father in the upcoming season.
Jamie and Roger's relationship is expected to improve in Season 5 as well. In the book, the two will go hunting in the woods and Jamie will be bitten by a venomous snake. This experience will make their bond tighter.
Starz has yet to announce a premiere date for Outlander Season 5. It is however expected to be released in fall. Aside from Balfe, Heughan, Skelton, and Rankin, other cast members that are expected to return in the fifth installment are Duncan Lacroix (Murtagh) and Maria Doyle Kennedy (Aunt Jocasta).
