Several entertainment companies in South Korea have already launched new K-pop groups in the first three months of the year. Here are some of the hottest K-pop rookie group this year that are worth to check out.

TXT (Tomorrow X Together)

One of the highly-anticipated debuts off rookie groups is from BTS' agency, BigHit Entertainment. TXT is the first male group by the label since BTS debut in 2013.

Big Hit Entertainment has formally launched its second boy group TXT on March 4. The group is made up of members Yeonjun, Soobin, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Huening Kai. Even before their debut, the group is already established a huge fan base thanks to BTS ARMY.

The expectations are high for TXT given the global achievements of their predecessor, BTS. So far, the four-member group is living up to the expectations as they already won three awards for their debut track "Crown."

ITZY

JYP Entertainment has finally introduced a new girl group after it debuted TWICE four years ago. ITZY debuted on February 12, 2019, with the release of their single album, It'z Different, and its lead track "Dalla Dalla."

Dubbed as Korea's new "Nation's Girl Group," the group consists of five members: Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna. Like TXT, netizens also have high expectations for ITZY as JYP has been known to be the producer of some of the best K-pop female groups in the industry such as Wonder Girls and Miss A.

The group has so far proven that they are a force to reckon with as the music video of "Dalla Dalla" has surpassed 17.1 million views within 24 hours of its release. Additionally, ITZY also achieved their first music show win on M Countdown in just nine days after their debut. This makes them the fastest girl group to achieve such a feat.

WayV

SM Entertainment first introduced the Chinese unit of NCT in August 2018 and it was called NCT China then. Fans have been speculating that it is a unit designed to target the Chinese market. However, by the end of the year, SM renamed the group into WayV.

The members include Ten, WinWin, Kun, and Lucas, and SM Rookies YangYang, XiaoJun and Hendery. On January 17, WayV released their first digital EP, The Vision, with a Chinese version of NCT 127's "Regular" as the lead single.

VERIVERY

If BTS has TXT, Jellyfish Entertainment VIXX has VERIVERY. The group debut on January 9, 2019 with their first extended play Veri-Us and title track "Ring Ring Ring." Prior to their debut, the members have appeared in reality TV show which gives more hype to their official launch.

VERIVERY recently joined the other K-pop groups in KCON 2019 Japan. This year's conference was held from March 17 to March 19. VERIVERY performed on May 18 along with ITZY and WJSN.

Cherry Bullet

The FNC Entertainment new K-pop female group debuted on January 21, 2019 with their first album Let's Play Cherry Bullet. The 10-member group is the company's first girl group in six years after AOA. The group's debut had received a fair amount because of their preview reality series Insider Channel Cherry Bullet and the appearance of its main vocalist Haeyoon on Produce 48.
