Former Wanna One Member Ha Sung Woon Makes Solo Debut; Idol Friends Cheer For Him
Former Wanna One member Ha Sung Woon ended the month of February with a bang. He made a solo debut, released his first solo mini album, and also opened a Twitter personal account.
Sung Woon is the second member of Wanna One who made a solo debut since the group disbanded on December 31. He, however, never felt alone.
Sung Woon's idol friends made sure that they show their support to their pal. Among Sung Woon's friends that have cheered on his solo debut are BTS's Jimin, MONSTA X member Kihyun, VIXX member Ravi, HOTSHOT's Junhyuk, and fellow Wanna One member Yoon Ji Sung.
Sung Woon dropped his first solo mini album, titled My Moment, on Thursday. He also released a music video for the album's title track, "Bird." The K-pop idol produced and participated in writing all of the tracks on the album.
Additionally, Sung Woon also opened a personal Twitter account. This is apart from the official account for the singer that his agency has launched earlier this month.
During the showcase for his first solo album, Sung Woon talked about the competition among Wanna One members who are also about to make a solo debut soon. He said instead of thinking his bandmates as a competition, he would rather focus on his own music. Sung Woon explained that they have individual style in music and he is curious to see what kind of music his former bandmates will release.
Several members of Wanna One are also slated to make solo debut anytime soon. Kang Daniel has already confirmed that he will debut as a solo artist in April while Park Ji Hoon is currently preparing to drop his own album this month. Ji Hoon also kicked off his fan meeting tour of Asia, titled First Edition, last month.
Wanna One leader Yoon Ji Sung already made his solo debut on February 20 with the release of his first solo EP, Aside, along with the music video for the lead song "In The Rain." Ji Sung is also set to make his debut on stage in a popular musical, The Days. Ji Sung will portray the role of a presidential bodyguard in the musical.
