As Americans are heading to polling precincts on Tuesday, Game Of Thrones author George R.R. Martin has encouraged his fellow Americans to exercise their rights to suffrage. But he also did not forget to offer advice on how to get rid of what he called "bad king" in the country.

In his pro-voting message, he compared the United States to Westeros, the fictional world he created in the GOT book series. He expresses optimism that Americans still have the power and right to choose as compared to the world of Westeros.

"I created the world of Westeros. But I'm glad I live in the United States of America, because in Westeros, to get rid of a bad king, you need dragons. But here, in the United States, we have something more powerful: the ballot. Get out and vote," he said in a video clip.

Martin doesn't explicitly say that Americans should not vote for President Donald Trump's Republican candidates. He, however, implied that voters have the power to make changes in the country and getting rid of bad politicians who do not perform their duties by voting them out of office.

GRRM's message came not just in time for the midterm elections but also after Trump used a tagline that is famously known from Game Of Thrones in his latest tweet. On Friday, Trump tweeted a picture of him with GOT-inspired words "Sanctions Are Coming" and the date "November 5." The US president is referring to the sanctions that he plans to reinstate on Iran.

"Fear cuts deeper than swords. VOTE, Tuesday the 6th," Martin wrote on Twitter in response to the president's tweet. The American novelist also uses his tweet as a header on his Twitter page.

It is known that Martin is not a big fan of the US president. In a recent interview with The New York Times, GRRM said Trump reminds him of one of his Game Of Thrones characters, King Joffrey Baratheon who is described as cruel and an amoral sadist.

Meanwhile, George R.R. Martin is not the only one who hit back on Trump's use of GOT catchphrase and font style on his tweet. Other cast members and even HBO have spoken out about it.

HBO responded with an appeal, stating "We were not aware of this messaging and would prefer our trademark not be misappropriated for political purposes." However, the network that produces GOT also hilarious ended their tweet with "How do you say trademark misuse in Dothraki?"

Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark in GOT, retweeted Trump's tweet along with the message "Not today." Sophie Turner, on the other hand, shared an article berating Trump for his tweet. Turner portrays Sansa Stark in the hit TV series.
