'Outlander' Actor Sam Heughan Unveils Limited Clothing Collection That He Designed

Just in time for the cold season, Outlander actor Sam Heughan has unveiled his new collection for a clothing brand. What makes the items special is that it was designed by the actor himself.

According to Barbour, the Scottish actor took inspiration from the countryside and from his own Scottish roots. It also reflects his own individual style and the Barbour's iconic heritage.

Heughan's special Autumn Winter Collection is consists of three items: the Evanton Jacket, Augite Waxed Cotton Jacket, and Oakwell Gilet. The olive and rustic jacket feature chunky cord collars and shoulder, all inspired by the hues of the Scottish countryside.

This is the second Autumn Winter collection of Heughan for the brand. himself. Caitriona Balfe's on-screen husband has reiterated his appreciation for the brand in keeping the Scottish heritage in its design and products.

"I've been very fortunate to work with the Barbour design team, who are a fantastic group of people, and throughout the years Barbour really has maintained their heritage, their Scottish roots. And that's what I wanted to bring to it, you know. I wanted to bring my own sense of style, practicality, comfort, and also a little nod to the Scottish origins of Barbour and myself," the actor said in a promotional clip released by the brand.

The collection is only available in limited time. The items are exclusively available online and in Barbour retail stores starting on October 11.

Meanwhile, Heughan is reprising his role as Jamie Fraser in Outlander Season 4. In the upcoming installment, Jamie and Claire (Balfe) will establish a new home in the American colonies.

The reunion between Claire and her daughter, Brianna (Sophie Skelton) is one of the highly-anticipated moments this season. It will also be the first time that Jamie will meet his child.

Fans are also thrilled to see how Bree will arrive in the 18th century. Executive producer Ronald D. Moore earlier teased that unlike her mother, Brianna will not go through the stones.

Moreover, the Frasers will also cross path with a dangerous adversary in Season 4. Though they will find a new ally in the new world, Jamie and Claire will also meet Stephen Bonnet (Ed Speelers), an Irish pirate and smuggler who Outlander executive producer Matt B. Roberts describes as "a pure psychopath." Other new cast members this season are Billy Boyd (Gerald Forbes), Caitlin O'Ryan (Lizzie Wemyss), Natalie Simpson (Phaedre), Tim Downie (Governor William Tryon), and Simona Brown (Gayle).

Outlander Season 4 kicks off on November 4 at 8/7c on Starz. The fourth installment is based on Diana Gabaldon's novel, The Drums of Autumn.
