Girls' Generation's YoonA

Girls' Generation member YoonA is doing a great job as a solo artist. Aside from singing and promotion gigs, she is also busy with her social and charity activities. The latest of which is a luncheon with South Korean First Lady Kim Jung Sook at the official residence of President Moon Jae In-the Blue Room.

YoonA got an invite from First Lady Kim because of her contribution to the Community Chest of Korea. The K-pop idol has been a benefactor of the government-sanctioned charity organization since 2010. In 2015, YoonA became an Honor Society member for donating over 100 million won (approximately $89,800).

The Honor Society is a group of major private donors who voice their opinion on social issues and give contributions to its causes. According to Koreaboo, one must have already donated or agreed to donate $90,000 within five years to become a member of Honor Society. Yoona's donation to the Community Chest of Korea has so far at $270,000.

Reports indicate that First Lady Kim and YoonA spent time together talking and even laughing. The first lady praised YoonA's talent in singing as well as in cooking. Apparently, First Lady Kim watched YoonA in Hyori's Homestay, and she was impressed with the dishes that the singer prepared for the show. The Girls' Generation singer thanked Kim for the invitation and vowed to do more good deeds.

"I thank the First Lady who allowed me to have a day full of warmth by meeting new people with the common interest of giving. Due to the nature of my job, I think my actions can greatly influence many people, so I will work to show many good deeds," YoonA said (via Soompi).

Only 10 donors were invited to the luncheon with First Lady Kim, and the Girls' Generation singer is one the generous people who had a meal with her. Also with YoonA is a 10-year-old Kim Na Yeon, who donated to the Community Chest of Korea the prize money she won in competitions.

Meanwhile, this is not the only feat YoonA had as of late. She also made history in Thailand. YoonA became the first Korean female solo artist to sell out all fan meeting tickets at a dome venue in Thailand.

YoonA sold out the Bangkok stop of her Yoona Fanmeeting Tour, So Wonderful Day #Story_1 shortly after tickets went on sale last month. All 3,800 seats at the Thunder Dome will be occupied come July 7 at 6 p.m. local time. Aside from Bangkok, YoonA will also meet her fans in Tokyo and Osaka in Japan and in Hong Kong. YoonA is also set to start filming her new movie titled Exit
