Although The Last of Us Part 2 is yet to be released, Sony has been praising its upcoming game. In fact, in a Twitter post, the company pointed out 20 reasons why games cannot be ranked. However, it ended its list with the title of The Last of Us as its number one game.

"Honestly, you can't rank them because each is amazing and nuanced and delivers fun and challenges in different ways The Last of Us," Sony tweeted about the greatest video games. Fans have been wondering about the reason behind this post, but it started a game among the game enthusiasts.

Other Twitter users copied Sony's tweet and changed The Last of Us to their favorite game title instead. Some of the game titles that emerged were God of War, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Detroit: Become Human, among others.

According to Comicbook, Sony might have tweeted this because of The Last of Us Part 2's success during the recent Sony press conference at E3 2018. Here, the company gave fans a glimpse of Ellie while facing enemies. It also showed a flashback of the antagonist's happier times with the woman she loves.

In fact, the presentation of The Last of Us Part 2's gameplay was one of the most talked-about moments at the event. Here, Ellie was seen dancing and kissing a woman at a party. Later, the scenes shifted to reveal Ellie fighting a number of enemies.

As Joel was not seen in the trailer, fans assumed that Ellie would be the only playable character in The Last of Us Part 2. This was the same claim as the game's creative director, Neil Druckmann, said in an interview via Game Revolution. But in a different interview with French publication JeuxActu and Naughty Dog co-lead designer Emilia Schatz, the latter hinted that there might be "more playable characters" to come.

"At this point, we're just ready to show Ellie as a playable character," Schatz confirmed. However, she later explained that it "may change in the future," though they are not yet ready to discuss things about it. She even teased that there is still a lot of information about The Last of Us Part 2 that have not yet been revealed.
