'One Room' Season 2 News & Update: New Cast, Directors, Storyline And Release Date Revealed

Anime fans are now excited for One Room Season 2. Now, they have more reasons to celebrate as the series' official website dropped major spoilers about the show's staff, visuals, director, cast, and even release date.

One Room Season 2's Official Cast

As revealed by Anime News Network, One Room Season 2 will have a new cast beginning with Inori Minase. She will be playing the role of Mashiro Amatsuki, the 21-year-old college student who has the heart for everything cute. She is shy and reserved and even does rhythmic gymnastics but was forced to leave because of an injury.

In spite of that, she does not have a hard time looking for a job, but she still feels disheartened by her situation. A "peculiar meeting" with One Room Season 2's protagonist, who she lives within the same mansion, adds to her frustration. From here, they will start to confide in each other.

Rie Takahashi will be also in One Room Season 2 as Minori Nanahashi, the 17-year-old high school student. She is a happy and lively modern girl who also has a hidden old-fashion side. She loves everything about the town's historic districts and culture. She even helps her grandfather manage the Nanahashi Yu bathhouse every single day and has a sibling-like relationship with the show's protagonist.

Lastly, M.A.O will return to One Room Season 2 as Yui Hanasaka, the 17-year-old girl who will travel to Tokyo from Hokkaido to try her luck in taking college entrance exams. She is a neat and serious little girl who tries to do everything to the best of her effort. In Tokyo, she will be living with her older sister.

One Room Season 2's Staff, Visuals, And Director

One Room Season 2's main animation studio is now Zero-G—replacing Typhoon Graphics. Takuya Tani will also replace Season 1's character designer Yasuhiro Okuda as the new animation character designer and chief animation director.

Atsushi will also replace Chieko Hibi as the new color key artist. Hiroki Matsumoto will return as One Room Season 2's art director along with Shinji Takasuka. The rest of the anime series' original staff will return in the new season.

One Room Season 2's Official Storyline

As described by Crunchyroll, One Room Season 2 will be a new project from SMIRAL Animation's virtual anime. Here, the audience is the protagonist as they are about to develop three stories in one room.  

SMIRAL Animation was the same company that produced the Anitore series and Makuranodanshi. One Room Season 2 will premiere on July 3 at about 1:35 a.m. on Tokyo MX.
