Lee Min Ho is definitely one of the most famous and successful actors in the Korean entertainment world. It also appears that Suzy Bae’s ex-boyfriend can do anything, from acting to singing to modeling, you name it, and the Boys Over Flowers actor can do it perfectly. However, the popular star actually had one fear that he had to overcome for his role in The Heirs. What could Lee Min Ho not be good at?

The 30-year-old South Korean actor and singer may be considered as a total package, but there's one thing that he’s not good at, reminding everyone that he’s just a regular human being like the rest of us. Although Lee Min Ho is also known to be pretty athletic, as he was a really good soccer player when he was a kid, the star never really learned how to swim.

Lee Min Ho Had To Face Phobia To Portray Kim Tan In The Heirs

In fact, Lee Min Ho was left with no choice but to face his fear of water when he took on the role of Kim Tan in The Heirs. It took a lot of courage for the famous ex of Suzy Bae to overcome his phobia, but his perseverance finally paid off in the end. Lee Min Ho didn’t only do his surfing scenes on the South Korean television series successfully, but he also learned to love the sport as well.

It was previously revealed that Lee Min Ho had two close encounters of near drowning, which made him afraid of being in the water. As a matter of fact, when the Legends of the Blue Sea actor was asked in an interview who he would rescue first if Kim Rae Won, Kim Woo Bin, or Jung Il Woo were drowning, he didn’t choose anyone then admitted that he couldn’t swim.

Lee Min Ho Always Had Swimming Scenes Despite Fear Of Water

The Heirs was not the first drama in which Lee Min Ho had to overcome his fear of water. He actually had to face this problem when he was still a young actor in Boys Over Flowers, and a spokesperson revealed, at the time, what was in store for the fans.

"He will show fancy action with his long limbs and also his swimming skills. To be more natural and not professional he is training every day regularly,” the spokesperson for Lee Min Ho said. "We will expose a little bit of his firm body in a swimming pool scene."
