‘Fallout 4’ News Update: Company Launched 12 Million Units; Bethesda Announces Plans For Mod Support

On the new "Fallout 4" news update, game publisher Bethesda has announced that the game has launched 12 million units already, according to PC Gamer.

A few days ago, "Fallout 4" had a successful launching with only a few issues. Some of the Pip Boy editions were delivered late to their owners, but after a few days the items were delivered properly. The game also had a few issues, but was fixed right away with a minor update the day after the launching.

Today, Bethesda has announced that "Fallout 4" has launched with approximately 12 million units worldwide to meet the day one demand. This has also made sales of $750 million, according to PlayStationLifeStyle.net. The game was sold at retail and digital stores on all new generation platforms including PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as well as the PC.

The game publisher also announced that their Pip Boy edition was the fastest-selling collector's edition of any game in history at leading retailers, according to International Business Times.

"A huge thanks to our fans that've made this all possible," said Todd Howard, game director of "Fallout 4." "After four years of development, it's not complete until our fans get to play it and make it their own. We can't wait to hear about their adventures."

The game also became the number one game played on Steam. The game has now 470,000 players and the companion app became the number one game on iTunes App Store, according to sources.

"'Fallout 4' is a masterpiece in game development and storytelling, providing fans hundreds of hours of fun as they explore and are challenged by this fascinating, beautifully crafted world," said Vlatko Andonov, Bethesda Softworks President.

Also on "Fallout 4" news update, Bethesda assures that the support for the game will continue into next year and also plans to have mod support and DLC.
