Girls' Generation member Seohyun has more than just a pretty face and a great voice. She is also a kind-hearted person.

The Seungil Hope Foundation revealed that Seohyun continues to make a donation to their mission. Seungil Hope Foundation is a non-profit organization in South Korea that raises money for the awareness of Lou Gehrig's disease, most commonly known as Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, and building the first ALS nursing home in Korea. The foundation is named after Park Seungil, a former basketball coach who is currently suffering from the disease.

According to Seungil Hope Foundation, Seohyun recently donated 10 million won ($9,400). The singer has been a long-time benefactor of the organization. She has donated a total of 40 million won ($37,600) to the foundation ever since.

"Seohyun didn't want her donations to be revealed to the public but we wanted to share her kind act. We sincerely appreciate it," the foundation said (via AllKPop).

Aside from monetary donations, Seohyun also gives her time to the foundation. She performed at the 10th Hope Concert for ALS patients last year. Netizens are praising Seohyun for her charitable work. One commented that she is a beautiful and kind person.

Seohyun also recently received praises from fans for her performance at the historic concert in North Korea. The Girls' Generation singer performed in the two-night concert along with other South Korean artists. She also served as the MC on both nights.

Seohyun said that she is honored to be called "an icon" of cultural and peaceful exchange between the North and South. During the concerts, Seohyun sang "Blue Willow Tree," a song by North Korean singer Kim Kwang Sook.

Other K-Pop Idols Making Donations To Seungil Hope Foundation

Seohyun is not the only Korean artist that support the foundation for ALS patients. Seungil Hope Foundation previously revealed that EXO member Suho and BIGBANG singer G-Dragon also made generous donations to the organization.

Apparently, Suho had expressed interest in participating in the foundation's "Shall We Walk" event in 2016. However, he failed to join the event due to his tight schedule. Instead, he made a donation.

The Seungil Hope Foundation also thanked Suho for showing his full support by wearing the organization's "With Ice" bracelet and "With Rose" sweatshirts.

BIGBANG member G-Dragon also made a whopping donation of 81.8 million won ($73,000 at the time) during his 25th birthday in 2013. The amount symbolizes G-Dragon's birth date. In response to his generosity, G-Dragon's fans made a similar donation to the same charity under the singer's name. In August 2016, the singer also donated 4.5 million won ($4,230) to Seungil Hope Foundation.
