The game enthusiasts have been waiting for the official release of The Last of Us 2 as little details about the game are now emerging. In fact, the Naughty Dog's creative director Neil Druckmann revealed at the recent DICE Summit 2018 the inspiration for the game sequel.

Surprisingly, The Last of Us 2 draws inspiration from The End of the F***ing World. The 39-year-old programmer revealed that the new Netflix popular show follows up the events of the original video game¸ The Last of Us.

Here, Joel (Troy Baker) was courting Ellie (Ashley Johnson) in a post-apocalyptic world infested with a mutated fungus that turned people into cannibalistic zombies. Druckmann said that The End of the F***ing World has a major influence on The Last of Us 2's dialogues.

"There's a show on Netflix called End of the F***ing World - which is so well written, acted, and quirky - has been totally inspiring the stuff we're doing in [The Last of Us 2]," he said. However, he made it clear that it is only inspired by the show's dialogues.

The dialogues in the Netflix's original series seem to fit the apocalyptic game filled with cannibals and desperate human beings, ScreenRant reported. So, fans will finally see what Druckmann is saying in The Last of Us 2's release in 2019.

Sony has a number of new titles coming to PlayStation 4 in the next few years, according to GameRant. And, one of the most anticipated games is The Last of Us 2. In fact, the video game's first teasers give birth to a lot of theories, surrounding Ellie's life.

Just like its first installment, the game enthusiasts are expecting Naughty Dog to deliver another one-of-a-kind gameplay. Details about the game franchise's sequel are still very scarce. However, it is also expected that more information about it is going to be revealed at the coming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2018.

Fans are hoping to see a new teaser to The Last of Us 2 at the said event and, maybe, the official release date. The game is said to be still under development for PlayStation 4.
