It seems, Evgenia Medvedeva's heart mainly beats for music than anything else. The Russian figure skater broke her own world record on Sunday and her secret is listening to EXO's music. She loves Seoul-based Kpop boy group's music to energize herself before hitting the ice.

Medvedeva is globally known as a Russian figure skater mainly for becoming a two times Russian national champion in 2016 and 2017, two times Grand Prix Final champion in 2015 and 2016, and two times world champion in 2016 and 2017. According to The Washington Post, she mostly prefers listening to various tracks of EXO to gain confidence.

The 18-year-old athlete also revealed that she has received several letters and autographs from the EXO members. Her recent wonderful performance at the 2018 PyeongChang Olympic Games' short program had shown inspiration from the EXO music.

Medvedeva recently underwent a critical period after breaking a bone in her foot. Her strong willpower is certainly the cause of her reappearance but she gives all her credit to the EXO albums. Even she said that she is passionate to meet the EXO members.

"Thanks to EXO I am feeling much better and I was able to perform successfully at the Winter Games. I wish all the EXO members great health this year," she further added, Allkpop reported.

Her fans are excited about as she has been able to generate a new world record at the 2018 PyeongChang Olympic Games despite her foot injury. On a scale of five, Medvedeva opined that she would give herself a four, maybe a tad less or four minus a quarter.

RT reported that her score has put her away ahead of Carolina Kostner, an Italian figure skater by scoring 81.06 in the short program. She broke the world record of 80.85 that she had set at the World Team Trophy in Tokyo in 2017. She is presently holding the world record for short program, free skate added with total or combined score.
