The "Hearthstone" world championship 2015 was won today by Ostkaka, according to Polygon.
"Hearthstone" is a Blizzard card game which has familiar heroes from the "Warcraft" game franchise. The BlizzCon event held a tournament for professional players who played the game. It is a popular game for many fans of the "Warcraft" game franchise.
During BlizzCon 2015, Blizzard held the semifinals and finals for the world championship. During the finals, two players were up against each other. One was Canadian player Hotform while his opponent was Swedish player Ostkaka. Ostkaka was victorious in a three win battle, according to sources.
Ostkaka was awarded with a "Hearthstone trophy. Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime gave the award to the champion and also promised that the developer of the game will still continue growing "Heartstone's" eSports event in 2016, according to sources. Another Hearthstone tournament will be held in Sweden later this month. It will be called the Dreamhack event. This event will be the official tournament that will provide points for the 2016 season.
There will be a new expansion for the game which is called "League of Explorers". This expansion will include 45 new cards. This was announced after the "Hearthstone" world championship 2015 was ended. This new single player expansion will be launched on Nov. 12, according to the Express.
During the Blizzcon event, the game company confirmed that this will be a one-time event just like the other expansions in the past. This will also feature two new game boards and will add the Discover keyword. This will let the player play three random cards that can be used by the player's class, according to sources.
The players must have unlocked all nine heroes as a requirement to play this expansion. This will also include nine new class challenges with a special pre-built deck, confirmed Blizzard.
