Kim So Hyun To Leave SidusHQ, Start Her Own Agency?
With "Ruler: Master of the Mask" actress Kim So Hyun's contract expiring with her agency SidusHQ, with no news of renewal, speculations have been circulating that she may not be renewing with the agency. The actress is reportedly considering establishing her own agency to manage her own career.
According to Soompi, SidusHQ has responded to the rumors and dispelled news that Kim Soo Hyun will leave them after seven years. The agency said they are just waiting for Kim So Hyun to finish filming her latest drama before sitting down to negotiate her contract.
"This is not true. We are currently discussing her contract renewal," SidusHQ announced in a statement. "Nothing has changed since our previous statement in which we shared that we will discuss the renewal of her contract after her drama ends."
It can be recalled that the agency made the statement because of rumors that Kim So Hyun will be starting a one man agency and will continue to be managed by her long-time manager. The actress has been with SidusHQ since 2010 and has since starred in a series of successful dramas including "The Moon Embracing The Sun," "Who Are You: School 2015," and "Let's Fight Ghost." She also starred in films like "Unforgettable" and "The Last Princess."
Meanwhile, as "Ruler: Master of the Mask" gears to close out the successful drama on July 13, cast members including Yoo Seung Ho and Kim So Hyun shared their thoughts about the ending during the wrap party for the cast and crew. Kim So Hyun said that she will miss everybody a lot, in particular, her drama's leading man Seung Ho.
According to Kim So Hyun, she enjoyed filming the drama for the past six months and said that if the opportunity arises, she would like to work with Yoo Seung Ho again. She did not comment on the rumors about her contract with SidusHQ.
