OnePlus 5 News, Updates: Users Experiencing Jelly-Like Screen Issue; Company Says It's Normal

The OnePlus 5 is making quite a buzz in the mobile phone arena as quite a number of tech buffs hail it as one of the best mid-ranger handsets as of late. However, there are reports coming in that the device is having slight problems visually that has irked some discerning users.

A number of users have expressed their concerns about their OnePlus 5s having this so-called "jelly-like" effect whenever the screen is being scrolled up or down. The image on the screen gets a bit wobbly at first and the said effect disappears when the image comes to a full stop.

OnePlus then released a statement addressing the said visual glitch stating that "it is natural and there is no variance in screens between devices," The Verge reported. Moreover, it also pointed out that the OnePlus 5 uses the same high-end materials just like any other smartphones of the company including its AMOLED screen which is at a decent 1080p. That being said, users who wish to replace their affected OnePlus 5s may do so provided that it is still within the 15-day period from the date of its purchase.

Such concern is not the first time OnePlus has experienced this with the OnePlus 5. Prior to its release, it was discovered that a software within the handset is causing its benchmark scores to be higher than usual, though no one seems to mind. Additionally, its predecessor, the OnePlus 3 and 3T also had display issues where lags were experienced by a substantial number of users, according to Forbes.

Meanwhile, Korea Portal reported early on that the company is thinking about doing another update aimed at improving its display.
