The new OnePlus 5

OnePlus 5 has officially hit the shelves and it has been getting quite a reception as of late. Just a week after it came out, a couple of updates have been released by the phone maker aimed to fix some bugs and tweaks.

The first update went live over the weekend for its Oxygen OS (patch 4.5.2). Per Android Headlines, the update is slated to give workarounds for OnePlus 5's system update failures and application installation problems. Moreover, the first phone update also brought fixes on the handset's Bluetooth, system and network stability, and the camera component's compatibility with third party applications.

Meanwhile, the second over the air (OTA) update - the Oxygen OS 4.5.3 - is also aimed to do further fixes for the OnePlus 5. The update size is at 54MB that further enhances the phone's camera system and stability. Effects of auto-brightness adjustment are optimized alongside the aforementioned system stability and data usage statistics. Fixes, on the other hand, will include Wi-Fi connection issues, expanded screenshot problems, and Google Translate glitches, according to GSM Arena.

Apart from the above-mentioned updates, talks are also getting rife that another camera update is about to be dropped allowing its shooter to have 4K video capabilities. As of late, the OnePlus 5 boasts a decent 1080 x 1920 screen resolution.

Per OnePlus' website, the OnePlus 5 has two renders with its Slate Gray as its base iteration that it is priced at $479. The handset is loaded with 6GB of RAM with 64GB of storage space. Its top end variant - the Midnight Black - has 8GB of RAM with a whopping 128GB of memory. Moreover, this premium version of the flagship phone has a price tag of $539 which is quite considerable for a mid-ranger with such specs. Check out a video about the smartphone here:
