The "Battleborn" release date has been delayed for a few more months, according to IGN.

A while ago at Gamescom in August, 2k, a publishing label under Take-Two Interactive, has announced that "Battleborn" will be released on Feb. 9, 2016. The company also announced four new playable characters for the game, which are Ambra, Melka, Rayna and Benedict, during the event.

Now Gearbox's upcoming first person shooter game will be delayed until May 3, 2016. This was announced by Take-Two Interactive, the game publisher, when it revealed its financial report for the quarter, according to Eurogamer.net.

"Battleborn is now launching May 3, 2016," said 2k in a statement released today.  "We at Gearbox are feeling energized by the data of our Closed Technical Test, and the additional time will allow us to better act on the feedback for Battleborn competitive and cooperative play when it releases."

"We sincerely appreciate your patience as we work tirelessly on Battleborn," continued the statement. "We look forward to sharing the Open Beta with everyone next year."

Take-Two Interactive has also announced in Paris Games Week that the first open beta of the game will be available on the PS4 console first in 2016, according to PlayStationLifestyle.net.

Take-Two Interactive has said in their financial report that they have gained more for this quarter. The growth was due to the solid performance to sales of "NBA 2k16," according to sources. On the first week, the game sold 4 million copies alone. The game publisher has also credited "Grand Theft Auto V," which has sold 54 million copies since it was first released.

The game publisher has also announced that "Mafia 3" will still set for release on the new generation consoles, which are the PS4 and Xbox One and as well on the PC. It will be released after March 31 2016, according to sources.
