The new "Galactic Civilizations 3" update gives the AI better with stronger features, according to PC Gamer.

When the first version of the game was launched, it had a good AI to fight with for the gamers. It did not take long for the players to know the quirks of the AI and defeat them easily.

This new update has now a better AI which makes it smarter, according to sources. The bugs have also been fixed along the way, but this update, version 1.4, was focused on the AI. The computer will now respond by building more specialized planets and uses other features to make the empires more organized in an efficient way, according to sources.

"We started looking at how these experts were playing the game," Stardock, the game developer, said on the official forums. "Sure, stalking YouTube players may seem wrong but then again, people openly posting their strategies are fair game right? And with GalCiv III being a 64-bit multi-core game, we can toss a lot of computing power at the problem. So we did."

The notes for the patch also say that the AI will be more adept. It will construct worlds and will be more observant of their armadas, according to Niche Gamer. It will also take care of its budgets that it will reduce the ship count if there are issues.

Also in the patch notes for the "Galactic Civilizations 3" update are some images that have unique designs from the ship editor. There is a ship where it has a design of a giant hair dryer. Another design is the X-Wing from the popular movie series "Star Wars." The last ship design is TARDIS from the popular TV series "Doctor Who," according to sources.
