"Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" will get modding and mapping tools for those who are interested to try them out but these features will come out next year, according to PC Gamer.

A few days ago, it was announced that the game will have a DLC, which includes maps from past titles of the franchise like "World at War" and past "Black Ops" games. Also, it was cleared that the DLC will not be available for last generation consoles.

In addition, there was also good news for fans which were loyal to the series and also new game modes.

Treyarch, the game developer, has now announced that the players can use modding and mapping tools for the game on PC. There are still no sure details for the moment, but the developer said that it is a plan to let gamers create their own new maps and game modes, according to sources.

The plan will include Unranked Dedicated Server files and a browser so players can make their own maps, find others, and join them if they want.

"Please remember that this is software development, so things don't always work out exactly as planned," said the game developer. "Sometimes features slip or drop off altogether, sometimes they get replaced with other, more awesome features as we hit into limitations of our original plans."

Treyarch has also planned that a closed alpha version of this plan will be on March 2016. The developer also promised that there will be more details as soon the open beta version will be announced, according to International Business Times.

There are still no details if the PC mods will be playable on the console versions of the game. There will be more details for the fans later on, according to Gamespot.

"Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" will be available this Friday, Nov. 6. The game will be available on all platforms on that date.
