Super Nintendo Entertainment System Mini Release Date & Update: SNES Mini Arriving This Christmas Season
Nintendo gives another surprise to its fans and gamers worldwide as another old classic gaming console is reportedly gets a new modern version and currently on its way to release this year. This console is the Super Nintendo Entertainment System or SNES.
Like the mini NES Classic Edition, the SNES will also get its mini version updated to support the modern hardware like the smart TV's. The arrival of the mini version of the SNES Mini classic gaming system is said confirmed to the Eurogamer.
The SNES mini, to continue the Nintendo's official branding, likely the Nintendo Classic Mini: Super Nintendo Entertainment System, is currently scheduled to launch this year, specifically in time for Christmas. The development of the mini gaming machine is already under way, says the report.
Like again to the NES Classic Edition, this new SNES Mini will also come with the classic popular games, such as; "Super Metroid," "Super Mario Kart," "Super Mario World," "Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars," as well as the "Star Fox and Earthbound." The mini console also boasts some good quality RPGs like "Secret of Mana" and "Chrono Trigger."
As for now, the pricing of the new SNES Mini gaming console hasn't yet announced by the Nintendo. However, based on the NES Classic Edition, which sold at $60 USD, speculations suggest that the price will be somewhere between in the $60 to $80.
Just recently when the Nintendo discontinue the production of the NES Classic Edition. Plenty of reports suggesting different reasons why the company suddenly stopped the production of the phenomenal game. Now that the new reveals the arrival of the SNES Mini, we know now what the probable reason of this issue.
It is still uncertain how many Mini SNES Nintendo plans on releasing. Hopefully, consumers will not experience the same low supply as with the Mini NES Classic Edition last year. As the report cited, nevertheless, even Nintendo was surprised at how consumers have received the resurrected console and perhaps this time around, it will be totally prepared and that the quantities it will produce will be sufficient enough to meet demands.
