OnePlus 5 News: Recent Leaks Suggest A Different Camera Setup; Famed Leakster Deems Phone A Possible Flagship Killer

The hype train about the OnePlus 5 keeps on chugging as new leaks about the device has surfaced yet again. An alleged image of the upcoming phone is making rounds for the nth time as it suggests that the phone could be having a different camera orientation.

Online tech leakster Slashleaks (/LEAKS) tweeted a low-quality image of a phone claiming to be the OnePlus 5. Contrary to previous spy shots of the handset, the next flagship smartphone will be getting a horizontal dual camera setup. Bear in mind that such leaks should be chewed on with some extra salt on it as phone makers have the penchant of tinkering around with a few iterations of the phone before a final render can be decided.

Another famed leakster - Evan Blass - also took to Twitter to reveal the specs that he got from an online retailer named GearBest adding that if such attributes go to fruition by the time the OnePlus 5 is officially announced, this could be the "flagship killer" everyone's been waiting for. However, just like the above-mentioned leak, would-be buyers should whip out those salt shakers again.

As per GearBest, the OnePlus 5 will have a 5.5-inch 2K display with 1440x2560-pixel resolution. Furthermore, the phone is said to have a 23-megapixel back panel shooter alongside a selfie snapper donning 16 megapixels. If such camera features fit in the bag, this could spell trouble among the giants of the industry.

Korea Portal has early on reported that the OnePlus 5 will be carrying an Android 7.1 (Nougat) operating system and will be powered by a Snapdragon 835 SoC alongside an Adreno 540 GPU both coming from Qualcomm.
