According to "Lucifer" Season 2, Episode 16 official, when a brutal murder takes at an asylum, the suspect announces himself, God. Lucifer realizes that the man in the asylum could be his father and his feelings towards him changes.

In "Lucifer" Season 2, Episode 16, Lucifer vows to find the truth along with the real killer. The episode guest stars Alimi Ballard (Dr. Liam Garrity), Sharmaine Yeoh (OCD Debbie), Adrian Petriw (Tourettes Todd), Amro Majzoub (Normal Ned), Julian Domingues (Billy), Craig Meester (Beardy) and Timothy Omundson (God Johnson).

"Lucifer" Season 2, Episode 16 Official Synopsis: "When a grisly murder takes place in an insane asylum, the prime suspect calls himself God (guest star Timothy Omundson). After realizing that this man could actually be his father, Lucifer struggles with his feelings towards him and tries to find the truth, all while trying to discover who the real killer is in the all-new "God Johnson" episode of LUCIFER airing Monday, May 15," reads the synopsis.

Note: The promo for "Lucifer" Season 2, Episode 16 will be uploaded after the conclusion of Episode 15 on Monday, May 8 on Fox. Episode 15 showcases the flaming sword and the Devil's attempt to ignite it, but he has to control his emotions.
