"Sword Coast Legends" developers have admitted that the game was "polarizing," according to PC Gamer.

The game had a long delay a couple months ago because the game developers, n-Space, wanted to polish the game more. They have received numerous feedbacks from the community which was dedicated to the game. It was not an easy decision to make according to them. Instead of releasing the game on Sept. 8, they had it released on Sept. 29.

After the release, the reactions of the Steam community were mixed. Some of the fans really liked it, but some who were new to the game were a bit disappointed. They did not review it as a terrible game but, it was just bland, according to sources.

"While many players love it, it is clear that for many, Sword Coast Legends did not meet their expectations," said Dan Tudge, president of n-Space. "For those who have expressed disappointment in the game, I have just one thing to say: 'We hear you'."

"As much and as long as we've labored to launch SCL, this is really just step one, a foundation for an even greater experience we have always intended to improve and expand," Tudge continues. "Our goal has always been to put Sword Coast Legends into the hands of would-be adventurers and to work with them to improve that experience."

To compensate their fans, n-Space plans to make their future content updates free and even their DLC free. All of their DLC, including the new and upcoming "Rage of Demons" will all be free, according to WCCFTech. The studio has outlined an update plan which will take up until Christmas. "Sword Coast Legends" will be continually be updated according to the feedbacks the studio receives and will base those feedbacks for their updates and new content.
