Fans of long-running "We Got Married" can finally heave a sigh of relief as the show managed to dodge cancellation and is instead poised to undergo a restructuring. The cast recently concluded the filming for its fourth season with a farewell party on the set of MBC.

According to host Park Mi Sun on her Instagram post, she is always sad every time "We Got Married" needs to close a season. "Nothing lasts forever, but it still feels empty whenever a show completes its final recording," she said. "The staff prepared a cake for us. I'm grateful for the warm farewells. I'm going to miss everyone."

However, it is still good news for the staff and cast members of "We Got Married" that the long-running show has been confirmed to return for a fifth season. The show has long been rumored to be facing cancellation owing to a variety of reasons.

A recent report by Kpopstarz indicated that sources from MBC have stated that a long-running show will get canceled to restructure the network's programming. It was immediately speculated that "We Got Married" Will get the axe and will be replaced by entertainment show "Oppa Thoughts."

It was feared by fans of the show that couples Gong Myung and Jung Hye Sung, Sleepy and Lee Guk Joo, and Jang Do Yeon and Choi Min Yong will be the finals pairs to be featured on the show that brings celebrities together for virtual marriages. "We Got Married" then follows these celebrities as they embark on the beginning of their "marriages" and face the challenges of married life.

A recent report by Soompi cited a source from MBC that confirmed that "We Got Married" will be taking a break and will use the time to restructure the show to provide fresh content to the audience. The source, however, did not indicate how long the hiatus will last and when the show will return.
