Park Bo Young Reveals 'Strong Woman Do Bong Soon' Injury, Apologizes To Bali Fans For Photo Request Denial
Filming activities for the hit JTBC drama "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" already ended, however, it was recently revealed that Park Bo Young sustained an ankle injury before the series closed its final chapter. Given the actress' sprained ankle, she had to turn to down photo requests with fans during the cast and crew members' reward trip to Bali.
Park Bo Young recently gave fans a quick update during the Bali reward trip that JTBC prepared for the "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" stars and production team. In a live broadcast on the Naver V app, as cited by Korea Herald, the actress shared her thoughts about the drama's impressive TV ratings. She also made a surprising revelation where she shared that she injured her ankle before filming the drama's last scenes.
The "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" actress even mentioned how she would sometimes use crutches to help her move around. However, Park Bo Young did not disclose how she sustained the said injury.
At this time, it is unclear if Park Hyung Sik's co-star sprained her ankle while preparing for some of the drama's stunt scenes. In the final two episodes of "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon," several scenes showed Park Bo Young's titular character jumping from a tall height to land dramatically on the ground.
Despite Park Bo Young's sprained ankle, the actress still joined her co-stars Park Hyung Sik, Ji Soo and other cast and crew members for JTBC's reward trip. However, the "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" star had to refuse some of the Bali fans' requests to take a picture with her. The actress also conveyed a special message to local fans during her V app broadcast and apologized for the lack of fan service.
In other news, Park Bo Young and Park Hyung Sik's recently concluded romantic series became JTBC's highest rated drama. "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" ended its 16-episode run with TV ratings of 8.96 percent across the South Korean nation, according to Nielsen Korea, as cited by Ten Asia.
