'The Last of Us Part 2' To Boast Horseback Action? Actress Shannon Woodward To Play Someone Close To Ellie?
Naughty Dog's "The Last of Us Part 2" has been making quite a buzz as of late. Talks have been going around that the game sequel will feature Ellie whacking infecteds and clickers - on horseback.
Award-winning game director Neil Druckmann has hinted just recently that "The Last of Us Part 2" will be having the said feature. The original title already showcased such gameplay. However, if the mentioned game element would come fruition in the next game, the horseback action might be seen more often in the sequel.
Druckmann even tweeted a photo of co-writer Halley Gross riding on a makeshift horse while wielding a shotgun replica. This made fans believe that the setup is used for "The Last of Us Part 2's" motion capture sessions and the above-mentioned equine combat may well seem to fit in the bag, GameRant reported.
Prior to such development in the game, "Westworld" actress Shannon Woodward was tapped by Druckmann to be part of "The Last of Us Part 2." Nonetheless, Woodward did not disclose any information on who will she portray in the sequel, Polygon has learned.
This did not stop the game franchise's player base from speculating Woodward's role. Fans believe that the actress could be taking on the role of Ellie's sister while there are some who speculate that she might be a new antagonist that would challenge the protagonist's will to survive.
In line with this, another fan theory that has been stirring up is the possible inclusion of Ellie's mom in "The Last of Us Part 2." It even went as wild as the main character's mom being the leader of the militia group - The Fireflies. Fans, on the other hand, are advised to deem these as circumstantial and take it with pinches of salt.
Meanwhile, Naughty Dog hasn't released a definite date for "The Last of Us Part 2's" release. In the meantime, check out a video about the game here:
