'Rick and Morty' VR Game 'Virtual Rick-ality' Releases On April 20 Ahead of 'Rick and Morty ' Season 3
Good news for "Rick and Morty" fans who are waiting for the release of the Adult Swim animated series' upcoming season. "Rick and Morty's" VR game is set to release next week and t promises to be just as exciting as it's animated series origin.
According to a report by The Independent, the "Rick and MOrty" VR game which will be called "Virtual Rick-ality" will be released as soon as April 20. This will allow fans to enjoy the game for several montsh before Adult Swim drops "Rick and Morty" Season 3 this summer.
Based on the game's synopsis, the game will take place in Rick's garage which is stacked with tone of items that players can use to meet their objectives. Game developer Alex Schwartz said that items will include chemistry sets and other elements from the show that players can use. The objective of the game is to complete puzzles using VR technology.
It can be recalled that Owlchemy Labs and Adult Swim partnered to develop the game last year. It was announced that "Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality" will be available for the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive platforms.
The game seeks to incorporate elements of the hit franchise and take gamers into an adventure much like "Rick and Morty" characters. The characters were created by the team of Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland and the show has succeeded into becoming one of Adult Swim's most followed animated series because of its out of this world storyline and comedy.
As a surprise for its fans, who have been waiting for a long time for "Rick and Morty" Season 3, Harmon and Roiland released the first episode of the third season last April 1 entitled "The Rickshank Redemption." The rest of the episodes will start airing this summer, Korea Portal reported.
