North Korea has reportedly fired a ballistic missile on Tuesday and went into waters off the peninsula. This is according to the U.S. military.

North Korea Launched A Medium-Range Ballistic Missile

The North Korean ballistic missile was launched from near Sinpo, a port city on the country's east coast and flew about 40 miles before crashing into the sea. The report was confirmed by South Korea's Office of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

North Korea's medium-range ballistic missile was tracked by the U.S. Pacific Command, which was initially assessment for almost 10 minutes before crashing into the sea. Meantime, the spokesman for the US Pacific Command reiterated its commitment to working closely with their Japanese and Republic of Korea allies in order to maintain the security in the region. On the other hand, the North American Aerospace Defense Command stated that North Korea's missile launch did not pose a threat to North America.

Meanwhile, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson announced that the US government will not release any more comment on North Korea's launch of another intermediate range ballistic missile. Incidentally, the missile testing comes ahead of a scheduled meeting between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping, The Hill reported.

Three Of The Four North Korean Missiles Fell Into Japan Waters

According to Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga, three out of the four North Korean missiles fired on Tuesday landed in Japan's Exclusive Economic Zone. This latest provocation came a day following the US announcement that it is planning to redeploy tactical nuclear weapon systems to South Korea as a deterrent against the increasing missile and nuclear threats posed by the rogue regime.

Meantime, North Korea threatened to conduct more missile testings in response to the two-month-long Foal Eagle exercise between the US and South Korea, which will last through April. According to Rodong Sinmun, the official newspaper of the ruling party, new kinds of strategic weapons will soar if the US and South Korea will continue the annual war drills, Yonhap News reported.
