Given the amazing onscreen chemistry between Lee Joon Gi and Park Min Young on the reality series "Sweetheart in Your Ear," many fans were hoping that the two South Korean celebrities will date in real life. However, with the recent revelation of the actor's relationship with Jeon Hye Bin, the "Scarlet Heart Ryeo" star's interactions with the "Healer" actress on the said tvN show became controversial.

The onscreen pairing of Lee Joon Gi and Park Min Young on the tvN reality series "Sweetheart in Your Ear" gave fans a glimpse at the two celebrities' explosive chemistry together. Despite having only talked to each other on the phone during the better part of the show, many viewers witnessed the camaraderie that formed between the two stars. The way that the "Scarlet Heart Ryeo" actor surprised the "Healer" actress during this show's recent episode even made many fans happy.

Given the positive response that tvN received for Park Min Young and Lee Joon Gi's pairing in "Sweetheart in Your Ear," showrunners initially planned to release a special clip featuring the two stars' interactions on the show. However, a source from the series told Korean news outlet News1 that they canceled the said project.

In light of Lee Joon Gi's confirmed romantic relationship with Jeon Hye Bin, showrunners decided to forego releasing the said special "Sweetheart in Your Ear" clip. It appears that many viewers interpreted the actor's interactions with Park Min Young on the said reality series as a potential prelude to real-life dating. Canceling the planned clip will help to avoid any controversies that might hurt the three South Korean celebrities.

Meanwhile, Lee Joon Gi's agency confirmed the actor's dating rumors with Jeon Hye Bin on April 4, Tuesday. In a press announcement, as obtained by Yonhap News, Namoo Actors stated that the two celebrities have been dating since the first half of last year.

Lee Joon Gi and Jeon Hye Bin first met on the set of the 2014 drama "Joseon Gunman." The two co-stars started out as good friends but only became a romantic couple in 2016.
