Defective Google Pixel, Pixel XL? Free Replacement Offered; Pixel 2 Still Comes With A Premium Price Tag
Google Pixel and Pixel XL users are currently experiencing issues with the microphones of the devices. Reports suggest that the audio input is completely disabled in several cases.
While Google Pixel and Pixel XL are two of the popular Android smartphones today, this does not spare both from facing certain issues. In fact, several problems since their release were reported involving audio issues, unresponsiveness, lens flaring, camera freezing and Bluetooth connectivity issues among others.
Google Pixel's most recent issue includes the microphones, in which several users were reported to experience inconvenience using the feature. According to reports, the device has three microphones, but this current issue can likely disable the audio input altogether.
Among the likely causes of the microphone, the issue includes a hairline crack in its component soldering, or a likely faulty microphone, which Google states that both are exceptionally rare, affecting only less than 1 percent of all Google Pixel users.
However, the single cause of Google Pixel's microphone issue is yet to be determined by the company. Nevertheless, Google mentioned that accidental drops may be blamed as well for the said issue. Also, given that it is a hardware concern, the company suggests that affected users should send defective devices for a free replacement, Channel News reported.
Google Pixel XL, meanwhile, is believed to be the best phone of 2017, which means that the new Google Pixel 2 will not be an eventual disappointment. It should be noted that during the Mobile World Congress, Google's Senior VP of Hardware Rick Osterioh announced that the users can depend on a successor this year, although no date of release has been revealed yet.
While reports about Google Pixel 2 appears to be a good news, the new range of phone is unlikely to come as cheap, as Pixel is confirmed to remain a premium device, SOC Pedia reported. Learn more about Google Pixel Mic Problems here:
