Kim Woobin is a known Korean actor and model and recently, he went to the Philippines to shoot his new movie entitled "Master." However, on his way home to Korea, he was mistaken as a criminal for some apparent reasons.

Kim Woobin shared in an interview about his experience of almost being detained in the Philippines for one month. According to Koreaboo, he was informed one week before his departure from the country and the staff along with him told him that he will not be able to leave.

The reason? It's all because of Kim Woobin's real name -- Kim Hyunjoong. Unfortunately, there is a criminal on the run with the same name in the Philippines, therefore, he was mistakenly known as the fugitive. To resolve the case, the 27-year-old actor has gone through the entire documentation process in case he really is the criminal. This involves having his fingerprints tested for evaluation and to find out if it matches the criminal's fingerprints.

Despite going through a rough process, Kim Woobin is fortunate as everything was resolved within a week. This has become possible by the help of those who were around him. Thankfully, he was able to return to Korea on the exact date he has scheduled.

Prior to being an actor, Kim Woobin started as a runway model and he debuted his acting career in "White Christmas," a Korean TV drama. His popularity increased when he stars at the "A Gentleman's Dignity" in 2012 and acquired his career breakthrough with "School 2013" and "The Heirs" in 2013.

Recently, Kim Woobin has starred in the controversial movie "Master" as Park Jang-Goon. He is known for antagonistic role as the mind behind the group who has been involved in a big fraud case.
His dedication and commitment have Kim Woobin several nominations and awards such as "Korean Advertisers Association Awards."
