Lee Min Ho’s Fans Pivotal In Success Of ‘Legend Of The Blue Sea’ Actor’s Donation Campaign

Lee Min Ho is just one of the South Korean celebrities known to extend their assistance to people and communities in need through various campaigns. Recently, the "Legend of the Blue Sea" actor and his fans' donation platform named PROMIZ helped to raise funds for less fortunate children.

The generosity of Lee Min Ho's fans will soon benefit underprivileged children under the charity organization, Good Neighbors. Around 50 million won ($44,000) was collected through the actor's donation platform PROMIZ, Soompi reported.

The campaign was made possible through the partnership of Good Neighbors and PROMIZ where fans and charitable individuals were asked to "like" or "heart" the PROMIZ's Facebook post for the program. By meeting the target accumulated 1,000 "likes" and "hearts" within the said social media plug's Jan. 16 to Jan. 25 period, the "Legend of the Blue Sea" actor's donation platform was able to gift Good Neighbors with funds to help support children who need psychotherapy assistance, as well as keep them warm during the winter season.

Given the success of the said campaign, Good Neighbors even expressed their intention to form another partnership with Lee Min Ho and his fans through PROMIZ. The charitable organization even highlighted the advantages of organizing a social media campaign linked to a donation program.

Meanwhile, Lee Min Ho and his fans established "PROMIZ" in 2014 and have since helped several organizations. The said donation platform also sells special merchandise items where the proceeds go directly to various charities.

In other news, the "Heirs" actor was recently honored with an award for his contributions in promoting and boosting South Korea's brand to other countries. The Hallyu star received the said prize during the 2017 National Brand Awards held on Feb. 22, Wednesday, at Seoul's National Assembly Hall, Korea Herald reported.

Lee Min Ho is currently busy completing various promotional activities that included special fan events. He is set to release his new single album titled "Always" in March.
