After the successful run of the tvN fantasy series "Goblin," many fans have been looking forward to seeing some of the drama's lead stars in a new project or a fan event. It appears that Lee Dong Wook is the first cast member who will meet avid "Goblin" viewers and fans in a series of special events.

Recently, details of Lee Dong Wook's upcoming fan meeting tour was revealed that will have him traveling to several Asian countries in the next few months. The "Goblin" actor's agency announced on Feb. 6, Monday, that the South Korean celebrity will first meet his Seoul fans in mid-March before embarking on a multi-Asian country tour, Korea Herald reported.

The said Seoul fan meeting dubbed "4 My Dear" will feature a fun-filled event that will give the actor's loyal followers the chance to see Lee in a more casual setting. Scheduled on March 12, the fan meeting will be held at the Blue Square Samsung Card Hall.

Meanwhile, the "My Girl" actor has been busy with photo shoot appointments and completing filming requirements for new commercials. Given the popularity of "Goblin," Lee became one of South Korea's most sought after endorsement models.

Having portrayed two roles in the said fantasy drama, namely the Goryeo king Wang Yeo, as well as the grim reaper, Lee's acting performance in the tvN series impressed many fans. However, the actor went through a difficult time trying to convince "Goblin" writer Kim Eun Sook to consider him for the role.

Kim was against Lee's casting since she felt that the actor was not a perfect fit for the drama's grim reaper character. Despite Kim's misgivings, Lee tried his best to change her mind since he fell in love with the said character after reading the "Goblin" script.

Lee even tracked down Kim's travel plans to schedule a meeting with the screenwriter, according to South Korean news outlet TV Daily, as cited by Soompi. The actor even bought plane tickets so he could go to where Kim was at that time to further convince her to cast him as the grim reaper.

Kim eventually relented and viewers were treated to Lee's impressive acting in the tvN drama. He even had an amazing on-screen bromance with co-star Gong Yoo.

"Goblin" ended its 16-episode run on Jan. 21, on tvN, while two special episodes that contained blooper reels and cast commentaries were released on Feb. 3 and Feb. 4.
