Jang Dong Gun And Hyun Bin Set To Star In A New Drama

Hallyu stars Jang Dong Gun and Hyun Bin may soon be seen together on the small screen for the upcoming aerospace drama "City of Star."

According to allkpop, an exclusive report revealed the exciting news that fans may soon look forward to seeing two of the most popular and handsome South Korean actors in the sci-fi drama.

"City of Star" is a story about two astronauts involved in carrying out an aerospace project. This will be 100 percent pre-filmed and the first drama project of the veteran director as well as acclaimed screenwriter and producer Jang Jin. The 45-year-old director created the blockbusters "Guns & Talks," "Someone Special," "Good Morning, President" and the comedy program "Saturday Night Live Korea."

The director wanted Hyun Bin for the drama, according to kpopstarz. This would be their first project together should the 34-year-old actor decided to take the role.

The "Secret Garden" star is currently promoting his new movie "Confidential Assignment." It was during a press conference that Hyun Bin first publicly talked about dating actress Kang So Ra.

He starred in last year's SBS' TV series "Hyde, Jekyll, Me."

Korean superstar Jang Dong Gun, on the other hand, could be making another TV comeback with the sci-fi drama. His last TV series was SBS' romantic comedy "A Gentleman's Dignity" in 2012, also his first after 12 years.

He's also worked with Jang Jin in 2009 for "Good Morning, President."

One of the country's consistently most bankable actors, the 44-year-old star appeared in international films such as his Hollywood debut "The Warrior's Way" alongside Kate Bosworth and Geoffrey Rush and the Chinese film "Dangerous Liaisons" opposite Zhang Ziyi and Cecelia Cheung.

He broke into the world of showbiz when he won a talent contest in 1992 and rose to stardom after the 2001 smash hit "Friend." He became well-known throughout Asia for his role in the 20014 epic film "Taegukgi: The Brotherhood of War."
