EXO, Yoo Ah In And Other South Korean Celebrities Auction Off Used Or Owned Stuff Online In A Bid To Support Children From Underprivileged Families

Chinese-South Korean band EXO, actor Yoo Ah In and other South Korean celebrities donated some of their personal possessions for an online charity auction which started Oct. 17 and will be up until October 27.

K Auction announced that possessions used or owned by a number of South Korean celebrities was made available for bidding between Saturday and next Tuesday.

The local auction house revealed that proceeds of the online charity auction will be given to children who belong to underprivileged families, Korea Times noted Oct. 16.

Yoo's shirt is one of the items which that were auctioned. The shirt has a starting price of 150,000 won.

The 29-year-old South Korean actor was known for his leading roles in South Korean film "Punch," TV series "Secret Love Affair," and his recent projects "The Veteran" and "The Throne."

According to reports, Yoo has been making donations to support children with leukemia. Just recently, the actor sponsored a seven-year-old girl who has to go through a marrow transplant.

"Mr. Yoo Ah In has been making personal contribution for children with leukemia, and this is the first time since 2010 his fans from DC Inside Yoo Ah In Gallery also sponsor the fund on behalf of Yoo Ah In's name," an official from Korean Leukemia Foundation for Children said.

"It is quite difficult to get help for [these] children so that we are very grateful for this contribution. We cannot make further statement as this is the privacy rights of patients who were sponsored by Yoo Ah In."

Meanwhile, K Auction also revealed that Yoo Jae Suk's backpack would then be sold for 500,000 won. Yoo was named as the most popular comedian in South Korea by the netizens. The 43-year-old actor and TV host has hosted a number of shows in the country including "Infinite Challenge" and "Running Man."

In addition, the online charity auction will also offer musical instruments, caps and other stuff autographed by famous personalities such as boy band EXO. The band was formed in 2011 and took the spotlight in 2013 after the release of their album entitled "XOXO."

The Chinese-Korean boy band recently made a history after being the first to hold a concert in South Korea's newly built Gocheok Sky Dome last October 10, Soompi forecasted on the same day.

Thousands of people filled the 22,000-seat Gocheok Sky Dome for the two-hour concert. EXO performed hits including "Don't Go," "XOXO," "Thunder" and a lot more.
