Pokemon Go Prepared to Catch South Korea and China as New Markets?
Niantic is reportedly ready to join China and South Korea in the massive hype Pokemon Go delivers.
The creators of the game is trying to find ways to make the game available in those countries despite of existing challenge related to Google Maps. The mapping application in both countries is regulated and limited therefore making the gameplay difficult to run. Pokemon Go utilizes real-time geospatial technologies and data from Google map that permit players to catch, train, battle and locate monsters in real-life places.
International Business Times also cited reports stating China was careful about allowing the game in the country because the United States and Japan might intrude on its private facilities and military bases.
The interactive game is a big hit in Japan, United States and some parts of Asia hitting approximated earnings amounting to $700 million. It was recently released in Hong Kong giving a hint that it might work out in China too. Analysts believe that the launch of gameplay in China and South Korea will help in boosting more earnings because of the strong smartphone markets in both countries.
