How is Actress Jo Bo Ah After Being Hospitalized for Encephalomeningitis?
Jo Bo Ah updated her fans about her condition through her post on her Instagram account.
On Sept. 8 she told her concerned followers that she has already recovered.
"Thank you for worrying about me. I am healthy again after a very, very quick recovery. Thanks to everyone who worried and encouraged Bo Ah! I will work even harder from now on," the Monster star wrote.
Encephalomeningitis is the inflammation of brain and meninges leading serious health problem. It may be caused by toxins, pathogenic organisms and other disease conditions.
When the news broke out last Aug. 30,, many fans were saddened and upset by the fact that the on-going drama's production team still allowed the actress to work even when she was already suffering from a grave disease.
On Aug. 31, the South Korean star was admitted to the hospital, Drama Fever reported.
A source from her agency announced "Jo Bo Ah was admitted to the hospital after filming for 'Monster' on August 30. She will be receiving an in-depth check up today."
Jo Bo Ah plays Do Shin Young, a hilarious role of a pampered heiress and paired with Kang Ji Hwan as his leading man. Their fun performance receives commendations from viewers.
The actress had to temporarily leave the set of the revenge drama consisting of fifty episodes. Her agency said that there will be adjustments on the schedule of shooting for the drama. Monster will reach its final episode soon, Soompi reported.
After her recovery, the 25 year old television star will be part of a new project, "The Man Living in Our House." She is set to play as a flight attendant and will work with Lee Soo Hyuk, Soo Ae and Kim Young Kwang.
Hyeri of Girl's Day was also diagnosed with encephalomeningitis in March but recovered after four days of hospitalization.
