Cortana Xbox One Release Date Postponed; Beta Testers Set To Preview New Interface!
The Xbox One players will have to wait a bit longer to try out the popular personal assistant Cortana with their favorite video games. Microsoft is still preparing to launch the feature in 2016 on the Xbox One.
Fortunate beta testers who have tried out the New Xbox One Experience have been added to the program where they can preview the interface with Cortana, a Windows 10 feature.
Officially, the NXBE next month will not feature Cortana yet. The Xbox One console will have the awesome feature from Windows 10 next year, which it will finally be official, a report from Inquisitr states.
"For those who have asked about Cortana, our plan is to add Cortana to the Xbox One experience preview later this year," says Larry Hyrb on his blog. "From there, we'll ensure that the experience is tuned for gamers before we officially launch Cortana in 2016."
The NXBE will also be the fastest interface the engineering department has come up with. The features will be smoother and easier to access than before. Beta testers who have the preview feature will have to watch out for that build soon, according to PC Mag.
Meanwhile, millions of fans of Xbox were disappointed with the announcement since they were expecting the Cortana Xbox One release date to be this year. Fans speculated before the announcement that it will be released this year due to the size of the update.
Microsoft assures the fans that the wait will be worth it. NXBE has been riddled with bugs and problems since its initial launch in September and tons of patches have been rolled out to fix them. Microsoft does not want that to happen to the Cortana release.
The popular personal assistant will also be launched to other devices that are powered by Windows 10 like Tablets, smartphones, and the Microsoft Band 2 wearable gadget. The specific Cortana Xbox One release date is still not known.
