New spoilers for "Once Upon a Time" season 5 reveal that a famous character from "Treasure Island" will make an appearance in the hit ABC series.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Costas Mandylor ("Saw VII") has been cast as Captain Long John Silver.

"As of now, details surrounding this mysterious newcomer are being kept locked away in the depths of the sea, but we can share that Captain Silver definitely has some rough-watered history with Killian Jones, aka Captain Hook," it said.

Fans will immediately be introduced to "Once Upon a Time" season 5, although the exact episode is still unknown, the spoilers revealed.

The synopsis for "Once Upon a Time" season 5 spoilers offers plenty of spoilers as it reads, "Emma, Regina, Mary Margaret, David, Robin, Henry and Gold arrive in the Underworld, on a mission to rescue Hook, only to discover 4

"The inhabitants of the Underworld-all souls with unfinished business and many with quite personal vendettas-hound our heroes at every turn. Meanwhile, in an Enchanted Forest flashback, a familiar face from the Evil Queen's past returns to present Regina with the perfect birthday gift."

But the showrunners are playing spoilers for fans who want a Hook and Emma reunion as they opened the possibility that the mission would fail.

"Who said they can bring back Hook?" Adam Horowitz told Entertainment Weekly.

"He may die there. To be honest, he's already dead," Edward Kitsis added.

The showrunners also said that they will explore more the storyline about Regina being the hero, as some fans have pointed out. But Kitsis said that might not be the case.

"I feel like that kind of got wrapped up in Camelot in a sense that she just did it to buy them time. She wasn't actually the Savior," he said.

"She was trying to prevent Emma from using Dark magic and letting Arthur [Liam Garrigan] know, because they didn't want him to know what was up. I don't think it was ever really anything than just that."

The 100th episode of "Once Upon a Time" premieres on Sunday, March 6, at 8 p.m. on ABC.
