Adele vs. Rihanna Feud? ‘25’ Takes Back No. 1 Spot In Charts; Rihanna’s ‘Anti’ Album Falls Short
Adele might want Rihanna to be in her "squad" but that doesn't stop them from having a feud - or at least, a tough competition when it comes to album sales.
According to Billboard, Rihanna's newly-released album, "Anti" only debuted at Number 27 on the Billboard 200 Charts on Feb. 13. Meanwhile, Adele's "25" re-claimed the Number 1 spot after David Bowie's "Blackstar" album spent one week on the top spot and Panic! At the Disco's "Death of a Bachelor," also one week.
"Adele reclaimed the top spot after two weeks at Number Two as 25 ascended to Number One thanks to another 116,000 total copies sold," Rolling Stone reported.
Last year, rumors saying Adele and Rihanna are feuding started when the "Bitch Better Have My Money" singer allegedly rejected a song written by the "Hello" crooner.
Meanwhile, Rihanna was supposed to release "Anti" back in November but backed out when Adele's dropper "25" as a surprise comeback. This, according to reports, to avoid competition with other big albums being released that month, including Justin Bieber's "Purpose" and One Direction's "Made in the A.M."
Despite the feud rumors involving Adele and Rihanna, the "Someone Like You" singer said that if she were ever to have a squad (like Taylor Swift's), she would want the "Diamonds" singer with her.
"I've heard about a squad. I wish my squad was all supermodels. We are, in our brains," said Adele of Taylor Swift's group of friends consisting of skinny, beautiful celebrities like Selena Gomez, Karlie Kloss, Gigi Hadid, Cara Delevingne, Kendall Jenner and more.
"It's not as interesting as some of the other squads that are around right now," Adele added. "But maybe Rihanna can be in my squad! That would be really cool. Oh, God. She's life itself, isn't she? I love her."
