Macklemore Set To Release New Album Late February; White Privilege II Intended For Iggy Azalea and Miley Cyrus?

Controversial rapper Macklemore hits again as he and Ryan Lewis released "White Privilege II," a song from his upcoming second album "This Unruly Mess I've Made," pertaining to Seattle MC reckons which speaks several contemporary American racism. The rapper admitted that there was no intention of having Miley Cyrus and Iggy Azalea's name in the song. Macklemore's second album is rumored to be released on February 26.

According to Rolling Stone, Macklemore confirmed that he didn't intend to disrespect either Miley Cyrus or Iggy Azalea in the song.

"For me, that second verse is unpacking. It's an unpacking moment of internalized criticism and self-doubt, and 'What have I done,' and letting the criticism infiltrate who I am. 'Why am I insecure at a protest?' And I think that people get put into boxes, and the conversation around cultural appropriation - I was at the forefront of that, rightfully so. And that conversation also included Miley Cyrus and Iggy Azalea, and that's why their names are on the record," Macklemore said.

On the other hand, TheBoomBox reported that Macklemore revealed the details of his new album in the video that he and Ryan Lewis uploaded on YouTube. In the video, Macklemore gives fans an update of what he's been up to..

"I couldn't escape. I'd been escaping the whole time. I had to finally look... look at the mess we had made. In all it's laquered glory and tarnish failures, stare at it and then leave," he said.

The rapper added, "There is creativity for validation and there is creativity for survival, they are very different places. I didn't know what I wanted to say, didn't know how the ink would stick to the page, how to let go of the anxiety and the suffocating fear that latched onto my vocal cords, I had to figure out how to use my voice again... so I got ghost."

Though there were a lot of questions about the messages that Macklemore relays on his songs, many fans still can't wait for the release of his new album.
