Karen Gillan Returns To ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2’ As Nebula

The blue-skinned cyborg assassin in "Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2" Nebula will be portrayed by Karen Gillan. Although not confirmed, there is a high chance that her role will still be tied to her sister Gamora. 

Though Nebula will not be the main antagonist in the upcoming installment " Guardians of the Galaxy," she will still be one of the forces that will go against the eponymous team. Gillan is said to be very excited about delving into the sisterly relationship between Gamora and Nebula.

The actress shared in an interview with Comic Book Resources that after getting her script for the anticipated movie, she was very delighted not just because she got the script by hand but also she got excited after reading how Nebula and Gamora repriced the movie.Gillan also revealed how James Gunn, "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2's film maker put her script into screen.

"I kind of --I was mentally prepared to go through it again. It's so cool. The finished product is so cool that it's just so worth it when I see it at the end.I think what I'm really excited about it delving into the sisterly relationship between Gamora and Nebula. I think that we're going to see a little bit more of that, and it's going to be a bit more fleshed out,"Gillan said.

"James Gunn is the most enthusiastic. He's on this natural high the whole time. He just knows the world inside out. He's so passionate about it. The whole thing has come from him. It's totally his vision. It hasn't been compromised at all. It's completely down to him. So that's the most exciting thing," the actress added.

On the other hand, CinemaBlend revealed a glimpse on what to expect for the upcoming movie.

"Nebula fought Gamora during the climactic battle on Xandar, but was eventually overpowered. Rather than accept her sister's help, she opted to flee the scene and flew away on a ship after detaching one of her cybernetic hands," CinemaBlend reported.

After the revelation that Karen Gillan is back for "Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2" as Nebula , fans can't wait any longer for the anticipated movie.

"Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2" will make its debut in theaters on May 5, 2017.
