The upcoming Xiaomi Mi5 alleged specs as well as its design were slowly unveiled through a series of leaks as all details are almost out before its MWC 2016 debut.
Last year, Xiaomi already confirmed that its first 2016 flagship will be one of the first devices to run on Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 820.
As the Mi5's first appearance at MWC 2016 is just a few days away, new details surfaced that it will be shipped in different variants. With that being said, two metal clad Mi5 will come in 4GB/64GB and 3GB/32GB which will be paired with the Snapdragon 820 chipset, NDTV reported.
Uber Gizmo added that Xiaomi's charmain Lei Jun accidentally leaked one of the Mi5's key specs.
In a screenshot that surfaced on Weibo, an icon revealed that points out to dual-sim capabilities, and the return of the NFC chipset which is missing on the device's predecessor.
In addition, it will be the first Android device to feature Apple's Force Touch or 3D touch pressure sensitivity technology and Qualcomm's Ultrasonic fingerprint reader, according to NDTV.
Reportedly, Xiaomi Mi5's powerful specs will be complemented with a metal finish design, a 2.5D glass screen and 3D glass back panel.
In a photo obtained by notorious gadget leakster "NoWhereElse," it confirmed the long-rumored physical home button. Also, the device's color variants were revealed as gold, pink, white and black as seen on its packaging, Techno Buffalo reported.
Going by on the other leaked specs, it will pull off a 5.2-inch QHD touchscreen with 2,560x1,440 pixel resolution and will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Xiaomi's very own MIUI7 on top of it. Meanwhile, its camera will sport an 8MP sensor on the front and 16MP on the back.
As confirmed by Liwan Jiang, co-founder and senior vice-president of Xiaomi, Mi5 will be launched at the company's Spring Conference on Feb. 24, according to IB Times.
