Gigi Hadid Jealous That Zayn Malik's 'Pillowtalk' Was Inspired By Ex Perrie Edwards?
Many fans are raving over Zayn Malik's new song "Pillowtalk." However, there are rumors that his girlfriend, Gigi Hadid, may be having second thoughts about how she feels about the song even if she appeared on its music video.
Is Gigi Hadid jealous because Zayn Malik's ex-fiancee, Perrie Edwards, is the inspiration behind the song?
According to a report, even Perrie Edwards purportedly finds "Pillowtalk" and its music video somewhat "weird."
"It's just weird for her watching Zayn with Gigi in the video when the song was really inspired by Perrie's relationship with him," an insider told Hollywood Life. "Of course, she's happy for him, but in all honesty watching the video makes her kind of sad."
The source added that Perrie Edwards purportedly prefers to avoid the topic of the "Pillowtalk" music video as much as possible.
"She would just rather not watch it again and not have people talk about it with her non-stop," the insider added.
Rumors that "Pillowtalk" was inspired by the Little Mixer surfaced from Zayn Malik's previoius interview about the song.
"He [Zayn Malik] told Zane Lowe in an interview with Apple Music's Beats 1 that he started writing and recording his upcoming album, Mind of Mine, two months after his split from One Direction, when he was still engaged to Perrie," Daily Mail reported.
Is Gigi Hadid feeling insecure about the song, which some believe shows how much Zayn Malik loved Perrie Edwards? Not quite, it seems.
"Zayn's current flame Gigi doesn't appear to be feeling insecure about the timings of Zayn's new single as the 20-year-old model touched down in Los Angeles looking completely unfazed on Thursday, the same day her boyfriend's music video was to be unveiled in the US," Daily Mail's report continued.
Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid reportedly started dating late last year, just a few weeks after the Victoria's Secret model was rumored to have broken up with Joe Jonas.
