Travis Barker Reveals Blink-182 Wrote An Entire New Album 'Trashed' It

Blink-182 is back in the studio with new member Matt Skiba, and the latest news states that Goldfinger John Feldmann is overseeing the group's new album.

A Wikipedia search reveals that Feldmann, 48, has produced and co-written songs accounting for sales of over 34 million albums worldwide.

Bassist Mark Hoppus shared a photo on of the band alongside Feldmann on his Twitter, captioning the snap: "In the studio for 14 hours today and drank so much coffee I'll never sleep again."

Feldmann's resume includes producing and co-writing credtis on both 5 Seconds of Summer studio albums as well as production credits for other groups such as Atreyu, We Are The In Crowd, Panic! At The Disco, Sleeping With Sirens, Black Veil Brides and The Used, reports NME.

Last year in March, news broke out that Tom Delonge had been kicked out of Blink-182 for allegedly refusing to record a new album with the group. Delonge and the remaining members took stabs at each other over the following months, until it was announced that Delonge has been replaced by Skiba.

"Matt's killing it," Barker said in a separate interview with NME. "He's fun to play with and write with. We're just getting started but I think we've got, like, four or five songs right now that I'm really, really happy with. There's a song called 'Punk Rock Cliché', which I love the most right now. It's about friends of ours and their relationships."

"The goal here is to come up with an album and just write," the drummer added. "We don't put a limit on how many songs we're gonna write. [We just] write a bunch of songs and when we feel like there's an album ready, there's an album ready. You know, no pressure, no deadlines."

The group's new album is rumored to release over the summer.
