Nina Dobrev was reportedly still furious with Ian Somerhalder, as the actress reportedly regrets her stint in the TV series, "The Vampire Diaries."

The 27-year-old actress has long been rumored to be returning to "The Vampire Diaries," based on the interview that Ian Somehalder and showrunner Julie Plec has given in the past.

According to a report in Inquisitr, Plec would instantly write Elena into the story if Nina Dobrev wants to make a comeback. The fact that Elena is still alive and in a magical slumber says a lot of about what their intention was for the series.

Meanwhile, Nina Dobrev is reportedly still hurting that Ian Somerhalder has moved on to "Twilight' actress Nikki Reed, whom he married in the summer of last year.

As per Celeb Dirty Laundry, a family friend of the actress claimed, "Nina has tried to stay strong watching Ian and Nikki flaunt their relationship in her face, then witnessed them rush to the altar."

The "Final Girls" star has been dauting Austin Stowell for a time now.

The article also added that because of the strong feelings she still has for the 37-year-old actor, she regretted the time that she met him.

"Now she's at the point of regretting her time on 'The Vampire Diaries' completely. Nina knows that if she had never done the show, she wouldn't have fallen in love with Ian in the first place," the source added.

"If the producers asked her to come back to the show, Nina would laugh at them," it continued.

Nevertheless, there's no indication that Nina Dobrev is returning to "The Vampire Diaries" and resume the love story between her character Elena Gilbert and Damon Salvatore, played by ex Ian Somerhalder.

In fact, the "Final Girls" is putting craft before money in the projects she will accept.

"There's been a lot of offers, but I don't need to work right away," Nina Dobrev acknowledged on Interview http://www.interviewmagazine.com/film/nina-dobrev#_ magazine. "I'd rather wait for something really good-to be excited about a role, or a director, or a project. I'm not just going to accept something because it's a lot of money."
